How much does the WhatsApp Business API cost in the UAE?
Two separate bills, not one. Meta charges for the messages you initiate, priced by template category — marketing, utility, authentication — and by the country of the customer you are messaging, while replies inside the customer service window carry no charge. On top of that sits the software you use it through. Any provider quoting a single all-in number is either estimating your Meta spend or hiding it.
Meta's charge, and why it cannot be quoted as one number
Meta prices per template message delivered, and the rate depends on two things: the category of the template, and the country of the number you are messaging. Marketing costs more than utility, and rates differ substantially between countries.
Those rates are revised periodically, which is why you will not find a figure on this page — a printed number is a number that goes stale and then embarrasses somebody in a meeting. Ask any provider for the current rate card covering the countries you actually message.
The part that surprises people: replies inside the customer service window are not charged. A support-heavy account can therefore run at very little Meta cost, while a marketing-heavy one carries a real per-message bill.
The software charge
The second cost is the platform you run it on — the shared inbox, campaigns, chatbot, catalogue and reporting. This is a normal software subscription and it should be stated as a plain number, per workspace or per agent, before you commit.
Watch for two things here. Some providers add their own markup on top of every Meta message, which is fine if disclosed and unpleasant if discovered later. And some price per contact rather than per agent, which gets expensive precisely when things go well.
